About the NVSPCA

Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Nevada SPCA) was founded in 1982, as Southern Nevada’s original no-kill shelter. We are a 501 (c)(3) charitable non-profit organization that relies entirely on the generous donations of animal lovers like YOU to make our lifesaving work possible! Our shelter does not receive funding from any large national SPCA, ASPCA, or any government agency; we are an independent non-profit that serves Southern Nevada. Nevada SPCA takes in over 2,000 dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets annually; treating each and every animal in our care as an individual with a name, identity, and unique personality. Our ultimate goal is to place them into loving homes where they can thrive, provide companionship, and maintain rewarding relationships with their human family.

  • Freya (NVSPCA) - 2Y

Hiya, I'm Freya! I'm a playful young girl and a total goofball! I seem to have an endless amount of energy and would do best in an active home. Young children can be a little overwhelming for me so I would do best in a home with older kids. I'd prefer to be your one and only. Please meet me at the shelter to get to know more about me today!

  • Pita (NVSPCA) - 5Y

"Hi, I'm Pita! I'm a very shy girl who is having a hard time adjusting to the shelter. I can be vocal when I want attention and I warm up with a little bit of love. I have experience with other dogs and I love to play in water. Due to my shy personality I would do best in an adult only home. Please come meet me today!"

Kodiak was recently adopted by the same family who adopted his brother! We are so happy for this big boy to find his furever home.

  • Wittle Man (NVSPCA) - 3Y

"Hello, I'm Wittle Man! I have a big personality and an even bigger voice! I'm full of life, a real curious soul. I love exploring every nook and cranny. I'm also quite the player, batting at toys and chasing after them. Oh, the joy it brings me! I love a good cuddle, but I'll let you know when I've had enough. I'm not shy about setting boundaries. I believe in balance, you see. Playtime, exploration, love, and a little solitude. That's my recipe for a happy life. I'm looking for a home where I can share this wonderful life recipe. Someone who understands my need for love and play, but also respects my space. Could that be you? Adopt me and let's find out!"

  • Grayson (NVSPCA) - 3Y

"Hello there, I'm Grayson. My days are filled with sweet purrs and goofy antics. I love to chat, my meows are my way of saying 'I'm glad you're here!' I'm a friendly soul, always eager to make new friends. But I should let you know, I'm FIV positive. It doesn't dampen my spirit, though. I'm still the same lovable, playful Grayson. I may need a little extra care, but I promise to return it tenfold with love and companionship. If you're looking for a feline friend who's full of life and love, I'm your guy!"
